Youth develop a violence prevention presentation using the information they learned in the lessons to create something that demonstrates a type of violence that is familiar to them and the solution that someone their age could use to solve it without violence.  The forms of art that can be used for the presentation are (but not limited to): 2’x4’ canvas panel, dance, drama, music, video, written work, poetry, cartoon, animation, performance art.   All presentations must be original and created by the youth.  Written documentation of the presentation, performance or work of art must be emailed to SAVE by March 26, 2012.

Peace March

The youth take part in the 8th Annual Central Ohio Youth Peace March on March 31, 2012, at 10:00 am.   After the march the SAVE Awards applicant groups will present and/or explain their violence prevention presentation to a panel of experts (artists and violence prevention professionals) who will give feedback and make recommendations.  Within one week all groups will be notified if they have been chosen to perform at the SAVE Awards.  If your group is not chosen to perform or present at the SAVE Awards they will be acknowledged at the event, given certificates of completion and your group will be listed in the program book and event visuals.  Eight to twelve 14 groups are expected to chosen to be part of the SAVE Awards.
